Enhancing Your Sauna Sessions with Yoga

We love yoga and we have a lot of customers who love yoga. And more and more users are actually combining their love of yoga with their love of infrared sauna!

There are several different types of hot yoga and certainly many yoga studios that offer hot yoga classes – some of our favorite commercial clients, in fact! But when you can’t get to a studio for hot yoga, there are still modified yoga routines you can perform inside your infrared sauna too.

Advantages to using “hot yoga” during a sauna session:

  • Expands your capacity to breathe deeply and fully
  • Prevents injury and may prevent or improve chronic illness
  • Promotes better sleep
  • Weight loss
  • Improvement in posture and body awareness
  • Improve the healing and regenerative powers of your body
  • Lengthening and strengthening of muscles
  • Increased flexibility
  • Gives the body a cardiovascular workout without negative impacting forces

Now, your yoga poses may be limited by the size of your sauna (some of our larger saunas have good space for a variety of moves), but there are a few very simple positions and stretches that would be terrific in most of our infrared saunas.
